Sweden prepares to send Archer self-propelled guns and 50 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine

The Swedish government has approved the transfer of the Archer artillery system and 50 Type 90 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine

This was announced by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson on January 19.

Archer is a Swedish-made self-propelled artillery system where the guns are actually mounted on trucks. The system moves quickly, fires rapidly and is very accurate.

"There is a lot at stake now. Ukraine is warning of massive Russian attacks. In this situation, military support is extremely important," Kristersson explained.

This is the tenth package of military aid from Sweden to Ukraine. The country has previously donated NLAW anti-tank weapons, which have already demonstrated their effectiveness on the battlefield.
