Support for Ukraine declines, military aid is not endless – Slovak President Caputova
Slovak President Zuzana Caputova has said that support for Ukraine is running out, both military and public. Disinformation contributes to this
The Slovak leader said this on March 27 at the Bratislava conference on foreign policy.
"As for possible military assistance, the resources are not infinite. If we do not also invest in the defense industry, we will not be able to advance even in our own defense," Caputova said.
"Support for Ukraine is also running out in terms of public support, perhaps the most in Slovakia," she added.
According to the president, there is no shortage of people willing to accept refugees from Ukraine, but many also believe that their lives have deteriorated since the arrival of refugees.
"Disinformation and misinterpretation are used to reduce public support for the actions we take as a country. As a result, the difference between the decisions we make as a state and the attitude of our citizens is growing," Caputova said.
