Supply of ballistic missiles to Russia will cost Iran a lot - Ramiz Yunus
Political scientist says the West wants to explain to Iran that it will pay a high price for supplying Russia with ballistic missiles for the war against Ukraine
Political scientist Ramiz Yunus told this to Espreso TV.
He noted that an internal political struggle continues in Iran, and the Russian Federation is pushing to shift the West's attention from the war in Ukraine to the events in Iran. That is why the Iranians conducted military exercises, threatening to attack Azerbaijan. Then the defense ministers of Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and generals came to Azerbaijan, and the British Defense Minister Ben Wallace joined their meeting in Ankara and Istanbul. And the president of Israel visited the USA.
"Moreover, add the statement of the Saudi authorities. All this eloquently indicates that clouds are gathering over Iran, and all this began after the issue of drones. Drones have already become not so topical, so there is a political survey on the topic of ballistic missiles. They want to explain to Iran: if a ballistic missile appears on the territory of Ukraine, it will cost too much for the regime in Tehran. Let's see how they get out of this situation. If Iran still dares to supply ballistic missiles, I do not rule out an escalation of tensions around Iran. And it is quite likely that Israel received the go-ahead from Washington and will again bomb the factories that produce them, either in Syria or in Iran," Ramiz Yunus emphasized.
According to him, there will be an escalation in the near future: either Iran will back down or receive a certain offer. And if the events go into a heated phase, it will mean that an agreement has been reached, and if not, then Iran will take a step back.
"All this is no accident, everything in the region started to move, and it was Ukraine that caused this movement, because it is resisting. Russia is weakening, everyone is preparing for the post-Putin period. And Iran is left in such a difficult position: it is raging not only around, but also inside. This is not only a social explosion, the minorities started to rise - the Kurds, on the border with Balochistan, the Arabs are revolting. I'm not talking about the fact that half of Iran is ethnic Azerbaijanis, Turks. Do you think the ethnic Turks of Iran will go against Azerbaijan? Or will they just go against Tehran? We need to understand what processes are taking place. And it is not by chance that the leaders of Saudi Arabia made this statement today. This suggests that either take a step back, withdraw from Russia, or you will be in a bad position," the political scientist noted.
