Summit in Hungary “will most likely be double meeting” involving Putin, Zelenskyy, Trump says

“I think Putin wants to end the war. Or he would not be talking this way. I think Zelenskyy wants to get it ended, too,” Trump said.

Responding to a question from Reuters about whether he could convince the Russian leader to stop the war, Trump replied, “Yes, we can.” He also hinted at a possible “double meeting” in Hungary involving both Zelenskyy and Putin, adding that “Zelenskyy will be in touch.”

At the end of the exchange, Trump offered a personal compliment to the Ukrainian president: “Zelenskyy looks beautiful in his jacket. It is actually very stylish. I like it.”

U.S. President Donald Trump drew a comparison between global conflicts, saying the Middle East presents a greater challenge than the war in Ukraine.

“The Middle East is a much more complicated situation than Ukraine,” Trump said, adding that his administration had succeeded in uniting dozens of nations. “We made 59 countries agree,” he noted.
