Stop raping justice: Kyslytsya opposes Russia's presidency of the UN Security Council
Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Sergiy Kyslytsya, has spoken out against Russia's upcoming presidency of the UN Security Council, which is due to begin on April 1
He wrote about this on Twitter.
Kyslytsya reminded that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called February 24, 2022, when Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, "the saddest day of his tenure."
"In fact the saddest in UN history until April 1, 2023 when, unless justice prevails, Russia assumes the presidency of the Security Council. Stop raping justice and quashing UN Charter! Accountability now!" the diplomat tweeted.
He noted that the decision on Russia's presidency does not depend on Guterres, but other members of the Security Council can influence it.
"Russia must feel the consequences of aggression and crimes," Kyslytsya added.

Earlier, Guterres said that Russia's invasion of Ukraine caused "the most massive human rights violations".
