Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam recognizes Malevich as Ukrainian artist
The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam has recognized the outstanding avant-garde artist of the 20th century, Kazimir Malevich, as a Ukrainian artist
The Art Newspaper reported the information.
The museum team made this decision based on the fact that Malevich was born in Kyiv.
Previously, the exhibition presented Malevich as a Russian artist.
The museum has already changed the information in the texts on the walls and on the website.
It should be noted that the Stedelijk is a famous art museum in the capital of the Netherlands, which has a significant collection of works of national (Dutch), French and contemporary world fine art.
