Ukraine wins second gold at Paris Paralympics
Ukrainian athlete Oksana Zubkovska won the gold medal in the T12 long jump at the 2024 Paralympic Games

She took the lead with her first jump of 5.64 meters and extended her lead with a second jump of 5.75 meters. On her fifth attempt, Zubkovska reached 5.78 meters, setting a new personal best for the season and securing the gold.
Her closest competitor, Spain's Sara Martinez, finished with a distance of 5.40 meters.

Oksana Zubkovska has consistently taken gold in the long jump at four Paralympic Games. In London 2012, she set the current world record in her class with a jump of 6.60 meters.
With her latest victory, Zubkovska has won gold in the long jump at five consecutive Paralympics, a streak that began with her debut in Beijing in 2008.
Zubkovska's win in Paris marked the 20th medal overall for Ukraine across all sports at the 2024 Paralympic Games.
