Explosions heard in Crimea near Kirovske military airfield and Dzhankoi
On the night of Friday, August 30, explosions were reported in the temporarily occupied Crimea, near the town of Dzhankoi and the Kirovske military airfield.
This is reported by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel.
According to eyewitnesses, four explosions were heard over Kirovske last night. Three of these explosions occurred near the airfield, while one was heard over the local railway station.
Additionally, one explosion was reported in the area of Dzhankoi.
Russian group attempting to land in Kurakhove sector neutralized
Acting press officer of the 33rd Brigade Nazar Voitenkov reports that Russian troops are moving in small groups to amass forces for further advancement.
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
“In the Kurakhove direction, the Russian aggressors are using armored vehicles, as the area they are trying to overcome consists of fields that are difficult to cross on foot. These fields are remotely mined or well targeted by Ukrainian artillery systems and mortars. We are also actively using FPV drones. Yesterday, another Russian attack took place in our sector. It was an attempt to land troops in two forest strips where they planned to gain a foothold, dig in, wait for support and then move on, but the Russians failed. We stopped the assault and completely destroyed the airborne group,” emphasized Voitenkov.
The acting press officer of the 33rd Brigade added that Russian troops typically bring equipment capable of deploying 10-15 personnel. However, these movements are detected through round-the-clock battlefield monitoring.
“We cancel, disintegrate and destroy any attempts to hide, disguise or take cover. We don't allow them to congregate because it is dangerous. That's why they move in small groups, trying to accumulate forces for further advancement. However, we do not allow them to do so,” noted Voitenkov.
Estonian Defense Minister urges partners not to restrict Ukraine's weapon use
On August 30, Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur urged partners to lift restrictions on the use of weapons that had been provided to Ukraine.
He said this before an informal meeting of EU defense ministers, Ukrinform reports.
Pevkur expressed hope that everyone would recognize the importance of allowing Ukrainians to use all the systems, ammunition, and missiles that have been provided to them.
Commenting on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive in the Kursk region, the minister praised the courage of the Ukrainians. However, he noted that they are fighting “with only one hand.” Pevkur added that, unfortunately, they are effectively fighting with one hand tied behind their back due to restrictions on using all the weapons they have and the lack of access to all the systems they could use.
He also expressed hope that Hungary, which currently holds the EU Council presidency, would stop blocking payments under this mechanism.
Russia relocates ammunition, fuel depots in Crimea, fearing Ukrainian strikes
Russian forces are actively changing the location of logistics centers, ammunition and fuel depots in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
This is reported by the guerilla movement of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars Atesh.
The movement's agent reports that the Russian armed forces continue to relocate warehouses with ammunition, fuel and mobile gas stations due to frequent attacks on them.
To this end, they have started building a road near the village of Tymashivka. Agents are tracking all movements of fuel trucks on the peninsula and recording new storage locations.
“We are closely monitoring the movements of the occupying forces and promptly pass on information to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The occupiers will not be able to hide!” the guerrillas emphasized.
