Ukrainian forces destroy Russian Buk air defense system in Donetsk region

Ukrainian Special Operations Command reports on its Facebook page.

Operators of the 3rd separate Special Forces regiment during reconnaissance operations in the Donetsk sector spotted a Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missile system and a 9S36 detection and targeting station that is part of the system.

The Buk system is designed, in particular, to defeat aircraft, tactical ballistic and airborne missiles, and surface and ground targets.

“Let's move on!" the statement reads.
