The Spanish Prime Minister spoke at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrinform reports.

“I supported President Zelenskyy's Grain from Ukraine initiative to help those in need. We welcome our contribution of EUR 4.4 million, which Spain will provide together with the World Food Program,” Sanchez said, emphasizing that Spain is supporting the Peace Formula and looks forward to its implementation.

In addition, Spain is ready to support and accompany Ukraine in the process of gaining EU membership. The PM welcomed the reforms adopted and implemented by the Ukrainian government and monitored by the European Commission.

Sanchez said that the Ukrainian military is already training on Leopard tanks in Spain.

“These tanks will contribute to strengthening the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In addition, we are already training Ukrainian soldiers to use our Leopards. The first batch of soldiers is already in Spain, receiving this special training. We aim to synchronize the delivery of the Leopards with the completion of the training of Ukrainian soldiers,” the Spanish Prime Minister said.

Spain may also send some Leopard tanks later if needed.

The Prime Minister emphasized the continued support for more than 165,000 Ukrainians, including the wounded.

“I have informed President Zelenskyy that we will continue to provide support to more than 165,000 Ukrainians in Spain. We will continue to facilitate their rapid integration, full access to healthcare, education and other services as long as it is needed. We are also treating Ukrainian citizens who have been seriously injured by the war, rehabilitating them and providing them with various types of prostheses,” Sanchez said, adding that Spain offers training for Ukrainian doctors.

As of 3:57 pm, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez spoke in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament), lawmaker Yaroslav Zhelezniak wrote.

He tweeted about his arrival in Ukraine.

"Today I am returning to Kyiv. We will stand with Ukraine and its people until peace returns to Europe," he emphasized.

According to Suspilne, Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis greeted Sanchez at the Kyiv railway station.

Spanish Prime Minister will meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, visit Irpin and Bucha.
