Spain will help Ukraine investigate Russia's war crimes by sending a group of experts - Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez
The Spanish authorities have declared their readiness to assist Ukraine in the investigation of Russian war crimes. To do this, they will send a group of experts of various profiles, including forensic experts
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez spoke about this during a joint briefing with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
He assured that Spain and its people support Ukraine in upholding freedom and European democratic values, as well as strongly condemn Russia's actions and oppose this unjust war.
"We support, Mr. President, your intentions to join the European family. You have the right to choose your own destiny and have quite legitimate reasons to do so by joining the common European home", the politician said.
The prime minister condemned the atrocities of Russian invaders and emphasized that such actions should not go unpunished. Therefore, Spain will provide assistance to Ukraine in the investigation of Russian war crimes. To do this, the country will send a group of experts of various profiles, including forensic experts.
"We want Putin to answer for his crimes, for the crimes of his country. We will help Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, until we reach our goal - freedom and peace for Ukraine", Sanchez added.
