Spain plans to send four to six Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine in first package
Spain intends to send four to six refurbished Leopard 2A4 tanks to Ukraine in the first round of tank supply.
It was reported by El País.
"Four to six Leopard 2A4 tanks. This is the number of tanks Spain plans to transfer to Ukraine," the newspaper writes, citing government sources.
It is noted that this equipment will be sent to Ukraine as part of the first round of supply. Currently, countries' Ministry of Defense is negotiating on the topic of the urgent tank restoration.
At the same time, the mass media note that the final number will depend on the condition of the 53 tanks that have been stored in the logistics group No. 41 in Zaragoza for a decade.
