In a comment for EFE, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said that the country is ready to send tanks and train Ukrainian fighters to use them, but in coordination with its allies.
According to Robles, until this coordination is agreed upon, it is still impossible to determine the number of units that can be sent.
"Coordination is something that should always be taken into account when sending this type of cargo, and that is what will be maintained in the case of Leopard tanks," the minister said.
Spain’s government is going to contact the coordination group set up by the allies to determine how many tanks are needed and how many Spain is able to provide.
Earlier, El Pais reported that Spain would join the supply of Leopard tanks to Kyiv after Germany does so.

"The Spanish army is one of those with the most units of this model - 347 units," the publication adds.
