Solovyov spreads fake video of Russians capturing pregnant Ukrainian servicewoman

Video of a pregnant Ukrainian servicewoman allegedly captured by Russians is fake

This was reported by the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security.

"Ukrainians are sending pregnant women to the front line - proof of this is a video in which Russians take a pregnant woman servicewoman captive," Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov posted.

The Center emphasizes that the video, which is being circulated by Russians, is a fake. Journalists of the No Lies project provided concrete evidence of the fake:

• The woman's uniform in the frame is clean, not worn out. However, propagandists claim that the soldier is from the front line. 
• There is no equipment, such as a load-bearing device, a belt with attachments, knee pads, and no plates in the tile carrier. There is also no weapon.
• The prisoner's face is not visible. She sits with her back or side to the military, which is wrong from the point of view of security, of those who take prisoners. Because in this way they cannot see what may be hidden in front of the woman, for example, a grenade.
• The area does not look like one where intense fighting is taking place. There are no sounds of explosions or shots.
• The woman in the video seems to be deliberately sitting and waiting to be captured. "And most importantly, pregnancy is a ground for dismissal from service. A pregnant servicewoman of the Armed Forces simply could not be on the front line," SPRAVDI writes.
