Russians almost complete railroad connecting occupied Mariupol with Rostov-on-Don

Petro Andriushenko, advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, reports the railway connecting the Volnovakha-Rostov railway to operate by late May or early June

He said this on the Espreso TV channel.

“In April and early May, we recorded three test trains from Volnovakha to Mariupol to the port and back. They arrived from Volnovakha slightly loaded not with military supplies, but with kaolin and ore to be loaded onto a Liberian ship that was stolen last year. And the train left the Mariupol port empty to test the track,” Andriushchenko said.

According to an advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, the railroad being built by Russians near the village of Hranitne through Telmanivsky district to connect Mariupol with Volnovakha and Rostov-on-Don is almost complete.

“But there are no rails on the bridges or at the railroad junction yet, they are only laying them. According to our estimates, this railroad will start operating in late May or early June,” Andriushchenko said.
