The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported the information.
The border guards held their positions and did not allow Russian forces to surround them. When the danger of complete encirclement arose, a fire support group arrived to help them. They repelled the attack with grenade launchers and small arms fire and ensured the evacuation of the injured.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russian troops are trying to take full control of the city of Bakhmut; fierce fighting continues. During the day, Russian forces launched unsuccessful offensives near Bohdanivka. Ukrainian defense forces repelled about 20 attacks in the area.
