Situation in Donetsk direction looks like operational deadlock - AFU officer Prozapas
Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Valeriy Prozapas said that the operational situation in the Donetsk direction has not changed dramatically
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"There are permanent explosions of enemy activity in the Donetsk region, which put constant pressure on the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian troops have localized success in the north of Donetsk region. In particular, in Soledar and Bakhmut. In all other areas of the front, the Russian army has managed to advance within a few kilometers at the cost of heavy losses. However, they are not capturing settlements, but what is left of them," said Prozapas.
Ukrainian Armed Forces officer believes that the situation in the Donetsk sector has reached an operational stalemate
"The main tactic of the Russian occupying forces is to first destroy the settlement and then capture it. Now they are trying to exhaust the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They are also shelling the rear cities to intimidate the civilian population. We are not seeing any large enemy formations or forces at the moment. From what I see, there is an operational stalemate in the Donetsk region in terms of combat operations. The Russian troops cannot advance. The Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot afford serious offensive actions yet either," he added.
