Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel.
"Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff meeting. Reports from the military command. We analysed in detail the situation at the front and the readiness of our forces for further action. Readiness is maximum," the post read.
The intelligence report on the situation at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant was also considered.
"The main conclusion is that the explosion was deliberate, but the Russian enemy acted chaotically, allowing their own equipment to be flooded. At the same time, the dam's explosion did not affect Ukraine's ability to de-occupy its own territories," Zelenskyy added.
- Zelenskyy also said that Russia had mined the hydroelectric dam last year and Ukraine was ready for the explosion.
- On Tuesday, June 6, Russian occupation forces blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, which completely destroyed it. Evacuation of residents of dangerous areas began, and the President of Ukraine convened an emergency meeting of the Security and Defense Council. For a detailed summary of the events, click here.
