As a result of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, 208 children were killed and 376 were injured. The Russians damaged 1141 Ukrainian educational institutions, 99 of which were completely destroyed
This was announced by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
"More than 584 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. At the same time, 208 children died. But 376 were injured of varying severity", juvenile prosecutors said.
The data is not final, because they are still being established in the places of active hostilities in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
According to juvenile prosecutors, most of the children suffered in Kyiv city - 16, Donetsk - 119, Kyiv - 113, Kharkiv - 91, Chernihiv - 57, Kherson - 44, Mykolaiv - 41, Luhansk - 36, Zaporizhzhya - 25, Sumy - 16, and Zhytomyr regions - 15.
As a result of Russian artillery shelling of Nova Zorya, Bilozersky district, Kherson region, on April 20, a shell hit a residential building, two people were killed, including a 16-year-old teenager.
During the shelling of civilian infrastructure in Mykolaiv on April 20, an 11-year-old girl was injured.
During the recording of crimes in Borodyanka in the Kyiv region, the body of a 15-year-old girl was found, who received a mortal wound to the lungs.
In the first half of March, in Klavdiyevo-Tarasovo, Bucha district, Kyiv region, Russians fired on a civilian car in which a man was driving with two daughters, 7 and 11 years old. The children were seriously injured. The younger child died without regaining consciousness, but the older one was saved.
During the recording of crimes in the Kyiv region, it was established that on March 4, as a result of shelling in Gorenychi, a father and his 7-year-old daughter were injured.
On March 13, a 13-year-old teenager was wounded as a result of shelling in the Kreminna Luhansk region.
