Since February 24, 120 Kyiv residents fall victims to war, 600 buildings are damaged in Ukraine’s capital
The Kyiv Military Administration summed up the sad results of the year, noting that Russian attacks damaged 600 buildings in the capital, 120 Kyiv residents were killed, including 5 children
This was announced by the head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration Serhiy Popko.
"2022 has become the most terrible year in the modern history of Kyiv - the capital of free and independent Ukraine! As of today, Russian invaders have carried out 52 air attacks on the city. More than 600 buildings have been damaged. Kyiv's critical infrastructure has also suffered significant destruction," he noted.
As of December 30, the war took the lives of 120 Kyiv residents, including 5 children. 495 citizens were wounded, 30 of them are minors.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion 638 air raid sirens have sounded in the capital. The total duration of the alarms is 693 hours and 49 minutes. That is almost 29 days! The residents of the city spent a whole calendar month in basements and bomb shelters this year!" the Kyiv Military Administration emphasized.
