Shells that don't hit Bakhmut will hit other cities, but it's up to command to hold or retreat – Ukrainian serviceman Burlyk
The decision to hold Bakhmut or retreat to new frontiers is the prerogative of the command, but the city must be held as long as it is reasonable

This was stated by Viktor Burlyk, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the air of Espreso TV.
"The decision to hold Bakhmut or retreat to new frontiers is the prerogative of the command and the General Staff. They have full information – how many troops, reserves, ammunition we have, and they will decide whether to retreat or not. It is clear that shells that do not hit Bakhmut will hit other cities. We need to hold it as long as it is reasonable. To hold Bakhmut at any cost, because it is a symbol of invincibility or a fortress makes no sense, if it takes a large number of Ukrainian soldiers’ lives," he said.
