The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, wrote about this on Telegram.
According to the mayor, the occupying Russian forces placed another military base at the Hydromash plant in Melitopol, and a series of loud explosions occurred there at night.
“The occupiers smoked so powerfully that the roar lasted for several hours. The incendiary wave broke the windows of neighboring houses, and the smoke billowed over the plant even in the morning,” Ivan Fedorov wrote.

On January 7, Ukrainian aviation struck 21 Russian military positions, and soldiers of missile forces and artillery targeted the command post, 5 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment, and 2 enemy munitions depots.
