Sergey Naryshkin calls on Poland "to study history more thoroughly", warns against "annexation" of Ukrainian lands
Sergey Naryshkin, the head of Russian intelligence, says that Poland is "going to hold referendums" in western Ukraine to "annex" these territories
This is reported by the Russian propaganda media.
Naryshkin said that the country wants to justify its "encroachments" on Ukrainian lands with a "referendum" and that the Polish special services have already "leaked" information to the Ukrainian media about the alleged preparation of a referendum on joining Poland in the Lviv region.
“The reaction of important regional players and ordinary citizens is expected to be carefully monitored and analyzed,” he said.
Naryshkin also "warned" the Poles against this "decision" and advised them to "learn their history more carefully" so as not to "step on the same rake."
“We want to warn the Poles in advance against hastily drawing false analogies and call for a more careful study of their history. We will remind you that it is filled with bitter examples of clashes between Polish and Ukrainian nationalists. Maybe you shouldn't step on the same rake again?” he said.
