Serbia loses its 'enthusiasm' for EU membership - President Vučić
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić says that his country is no longer as enthusiastic about the prospect of EU membership as before

He made such a statement at a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Politico reports.
“We are not as enthusiastic as we used to be, in a way that the European Union is not that enthusiastic about us as we thought it was,” the president noted.
Vučić added that he is “pessimistic” about Serbia joining the European Union in the near future.
However, he supported the idea of the European Political Community, an intergovernmental forum created in 2022 after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He called it “important" and "a good idea of (French President Emmanuel, - ed.) Macron.”
