The European Commission is set to hold consultations with EU member states on the next round of sanctions against Russia

Rikard Jozwiak, Europe Editor at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, reported that the Commission will discuss the bloc’s 18th sanctions package with national representatives this weekend.

On Tuesday, May 20, the European Union approved its 17th package of sanctions against Russia. The package targets nearly 200 ships of the so-called Russian "shadow fleet".
