Russia’s Pskov fire alarms Russians after drones hit airport despite air defense

With this narrative, the Russians are trying to justify the complete incapacity of their air defense, Ukrainian military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko writes

After all, if they blame Ukraine, for example, for this raid, what does that mean? A group of UAVs freely crossed 700 kilometers of Russian airspace and destroyed aircraft worth hundreds of millions of dollars at an important military facility?

That is, the question arises, how did several UAVs manage to cover such a distance undetected and without being shot down by an unparalleled air defense system? Another point. If we assume that these UAVs really flew from Ukraine, what route did they take? About 400 kilometers is near the border with Belarus. Then it is the Pskov region, bordering Latvia and Estonia - NATO member countries. So, does this mean that Russia has no air defense along the border with Belarus and in the area bordering the “scary” and “aggressive” NATO countries?

And what can you do when one third of the active air defense was destroyed in Ukraine, one third is in Ukraine to cover the occupation troops, and the remaining one third has to be concentrated to protect at least Moscow and the Crimean bridge. Moreover, this air defense is decreasing in numbers with each passing day.

That is why the narrative accusing Estonia will allow this strike to be hushed up - they say it is NATO's way of provoking Russia, but Moscow will not give in to the provocation!

Ukrainians do not care what Russian propagandists write and what they say. The main thing is the result.

Last night, many Ukrainians, like over the past year and a half, woke up to an air-raid alarm and the sound of working air defense systems, which became everyday routine of the home front. But this night was special.

Pskov, Bryansk, Orel, Kaluga, Tula and Moscow regions were not sleeping together with Ukrainians at the same time. The geography of awake Russian cities and regions is expanding.
