Russia's night attack: strikes on Kryvyi Rih, Shaheds in Cherkasy region, one injured

On the evening of September 30 and throughout the night, Russia launched a coordinated air attack on Ukraine, targeting various regions. The Russian attack damaged infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, and Uman, Cherkasy region, and injured one person

The attack on Kryvyi Rih was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak.

"At night, the enemy attacked Kryvyi Rih with drones. Unfortunately, there were hits on civilian infrastructure," he said in a statement. 

According to Lysak, the attack caused destruction in the city. A fire broke out there; rescuers localized the fire.

An industrial facility hit in the Cherkasy region

At night, Russia also attacked the region with attack drones. Industrial infrastructure in Uman was targeted, resulting in fires breaking out in warehouses, including those storing grain.

According to the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, one person was injured. He was taken to the hospital.

"We are currently eliminating the consequences. All specialized services are working at the scene. Law enforcers are recording new crimes committed by Russian terrorists," said the head.

Attack on the Kherson region

The head of the Kherson region, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported on Russian fighter jets.

"Attention! Enemy SU34, SU35 are flying in the direction of the Kherson region! Stay in shelters!" the head of the regional military administration said.

At 10:28 pm, he reported launches in the direction of the Beryslav district.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Air Force noted that "enemy tactical aviation is active in the eastern and southeastern directions! There is a threat of the use of aviation weapons.”

In addition, on Sunday, October 1, at about 04:00 am, the Russian army fired on the village of Stanislav, Kherson region. Two men were injured and taken to the hospital. Information about the damage is being clarified.

Explosions in the Odesa region

A few minutes later there were reports that Russia launched Shahed drones from the Black Sea.

"Strike UAVs, probably Shahed, from the Black Sea in the direction of the Odesa region. Dnipropetrovsk region: air defense targeting an enemy UAV is operating!"

At 10:47 pm, the Ukrainian Armed Forces added that "a group of attack UAVs from the Black Sea is flying in the direction of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district".

The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration also confirmed the attack on the district and the work of air defense: "Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, please stay in shelters, it is important!"

At 11:16 pm, it was reported that "several groups of Shahed-type attack UAVs are flying from the Black Sea in the direction of Mykolaiv and Odesa regions."

Hits in Kharkiv

"The city is under a missile attack - at least four explosions have occurred in Kharkiv," Mayor Ihor Terekhov wrote, following the announcement of an air raid alert in the city.

On Sunday morning, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said that at about 01:00 am, Russian troops launched a missile attack on the city of Kharkiv.

"Three missile strikes, preliminary S-300, on the territory of a civilian enterprise were recorded, and a fire broke out. Information is being clarified," he wrote on Telegram.

Explosions in Zaporizhzhia

At 01:30 am, the threat of a ballistic missile attack was announced in Zaporizhzhia. The head of the Regional Military Administration, Yuriy Malashko, called for people to stay in shelters.

Hromadske correspondents also reported on the explosions in the city.

"There were two explosions in Snihurivka. Relevant services are already working at the scene. Preliminary, there were no casualties. Please stay in shelters," said Ivan Kukhta, head of Snihurivka Town Military Administration, in the evening.

On the morning of Sunday, October 1, the head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim reported that at night, air defense forces and means destroyed one Shahed 131/136 UAV in the region.

In addition, at 01:15 am, drone strikes were recorded outside the settlement of the Snihurivka community. The hit damaged the warehouse of an agricultural enterprise and the fence.

A dry grass fire started there and has been extinguished. There were no casualties as a result of the Russian attack in the Mykolaiv region.
