He spoke about this on Espreso TV.

Valeriy Ryabykh commented on the Russian missile attack on Kyiv on May 29.

"Our air defence system demonstrates miracles of work, protecting the civilian population of Ukraine. We can see that the aggressor state has taken a course to intensify terrorist attacks, sparing no effort to conduct massive attacks with all available means. On May 29, another phenomenal case occurred when the Russian Federation was disgraced because another myth, in particular about the Iskanders, collapsed. The fact is that today's attack was very insidious because it took place during the working day, when civilians in Kyiv were just living their lives. The Russian Federation unleashed a massive attack with ballistic missiles that move very fast," said the military expert.

Valeriy Ryabykh noted that about 10 minutes after the air alert was announced, these missiles flew to Kyiv, where they were met by air defence and missile defence, which is now capable of shooting down enemy ballistic missiles.

"Of great importance is the fact that these were Iskander missiles, which, like Kinzhals earlier, were compromised because it was these missiles that the terrorist state relied on in its confrontation with the free world. In addition, Russian propagandists said that Iskanders are very unique and can bypass all missile defence systems, move at a very high speed, and can manoeuvre at the end of the flight, changing the flight path. In addition, the Russian Federation claimed that such missiles are equipped with electronic warfare devices to bypass air and missile defence systems. In other words, these are exactly the systems used in Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles such as Topol and others. Today's attack on the Ukrainian capital has shown that the world does not have to be afraid of Russia and its missiles, because everything that Russian propaganda has been saying has turned out to be a myth," Ryabykh emphasised.

  • Attack on Kyiv and Kyiv region on May 29: air defence systems were activated, missile fragments fell in several districts of the capital and the region, there is a victim.
