Russia’s attack damages Chornomorsk's port infrastructure: at least one year is needed to restore it
Russia's attack on the night of 19 July knocked out a significant part of the grain export infrastructure of the Chornomorsk port. It will take at least a year to repair
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
According to the report, 60 thousand tonnes of grain were also destroyed in the port of Chornomorsk, which was supposed to be loaded and shipped via the grain corridor 60 days ago.
"The grain infrastructure of international and Ukrainian traders and carriers Kernel, Viterra, CMA CGM Group suffered the most. This is a terrorist act not against Ukraine but against the whole world... Humanity is being held hostage by a terrorist country that is blackmailing the world with hunger. The world must react firmly and in accordance with the situation," said Mykola Solsky, the head of the agency.
He stressed that Russia's actions will lead to higher prices for basic products such as flour and cereals.
- On the night of 19 July, Russian occupiers attacked Odesa region with Kalibr missiles. 16 cruise missiles were probably fired from the small missile ship Ingushetia and the frigate Admiral Essen from the Black Sea.
