Russia's ammunition depot explodes in Crimea: satellite images were shared online
Professor of Tokyo University Hidenori Watanabe released satellite images showing the aftermath of the July 19 explosions at an ammunition depot in the temporarily occupied Crimea

"Russian ammunition depot near the village of Krynychky in Crimea. It was blown up by a powerful explosion," the statement reads.
On the night of July 19, local residents in Russian-occupied Crimea heard explosions. Probably, a warehouse with ammunition at one of the training grounds detonated. Then the traffic on the Tavrida highway was blocked.
The occupation authorities planned to temporarily evacuate residents of 4 settlements.
Also, in the morning of July 17, explosions occurred on the Crimean Bridge, after which the occupation authorities declared an "emergency" and accused the Ukrainian military of the attack. Damage to the roadway was found on the spans, and 2 deaths were reported. In connection with the nighttime incident, Vladimir Putin convened an emergency meeting, where he promised "Russia's response" to the explosion on the Crimean bridge. Instead, Maxar Technologies published satellite images of the Crimean bridge after the nighttime explosion on July 17.
On July 18, the Russian Defense Ministry again accused Ukraine of attacking the temporarily occupied Crimea with drones.
On the night of July 20, explosions allegedly occurred in occupied Crimea. The invaders accuse Ukraine of a drone attack on the peninsula. A teenage girl was allegedly injured and killed.
