Russia's active attacks focus on two key areas, says military expert Zgurets
Serhiy Zgurets, military expert and Defense Express CEO, has named the main areas on the frontline that Russia is attacking
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"When we talk about the events at the front, we do not see any changes on the map, but this does not mean that there is a low intensity. There are two areas - around Bakhmut in the south, where active hostilities are taking place, where the main enemy forces are concentrated on counterattacks near Avdiivka and Andriivka," the expert noted.
Zgurets also emphasized that the second direction is the fighting around Robotyne, where Russia is trying to conduct counterattacks and narrow the Ukrainian advance from the flanks.
"Meanwhile, we are using our full potential to advance in the current conditions, including those related to mining. And these two areas are the main ones in terms of efforts on both sides. When we talk about another area, Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna, there are no major changes there, no special activity, except for the enemy's attempts to test our positions near Synkivka. And the traditional actions in Serebrianske forestry, where such infantry fights between the armed forces of the two armies usually take place," he added.
- On Friday, September 29, Russian troops tried in vain to advance near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region, and Robotyne and Verbove, Zaporizhzhia direction. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 470 Russian army soldiers.
- On October 3, Ukrainian troops were reportedly occupying unspecified "more favorable" positions near Andriivka, and that Russian troops were trying to advance in this direction to no avail.
