Russia's ability to spy in Europe has halved - MI6 chief
Russia's ability to spy on Europe halved after more than 400 Russian intelligence officers have been expelled from cities across Europe.
The chief of the British Foreign Intelligence Service, MI6, Richard Moore shared the news.
According to Moore, Russia has "half" lost its ability to spy in Europe after expelling more than 400 Russian intelligence officers from cities across Europe and arresting several undercover spies posing as civilians.
"And we reckon, in the UK, that has probably reduced their ability to do their business to spy for Russia in Europe by half," Moore said.
Several so-called illegals, or Russian spies, operating under deep cover and masquerading as ordinary civilians have also been exposed and arrested in recent months, he added.
After the Russian Federation launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, European countries began expelling Russian diplomats en masse.
