Russian shelling of Mykolaiv: the boy who was pulled out from under the rubble died in the hospital

There was an air raid alert in the entire region after midnight. In Mykolaiv we know about the destruction of at least one house

As of 21:30, we know about the death of 11-year-old boy who was pulled out from under the rubble of a high-rise building. The child stayed there for 6 hours. The boy was taken to the hospital, where he was referred to a regional hospital for dialysis. There, the child's heart stopped. Vitaliy Kim, the head of Mykolayiv Regional Military Administration told it.

"So far, rescuers of the State Emergency Service have already retrieved 3 dead people from under the rubble of the high-rise building" - Zamazeyeva wrote.

 As of 12:29 p.m., a dead man and a woman were pulled out from under the rubble - Oleksandr Sienkovych, Mykolaiv mayor, said.

"Consequences of Russian missile attack on a residential building. So far, rescuers have unblocked the bodies of two dead residents. They are a man (31 years old) and a woman (80 years old). The search and rescue operation is ongoing," wrote Sienkovych.

As of 10:05 a.m., a man's body was recovered from the rubble of the shuttle station. He turned out to be an employee of the State Militarized Mountain Rescue Squad of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.  He was on duty that night.

"Sincere condolences to the relatives and colleagues of the deceased!" - wrote Sienkovych.

Earlier, he noted that another Russian S-300 missile destroyed the building of the rescue shuttle station. Previously, one employee of the station was under the rubble. A search and rescue operation is underway.

 

Earlier, Vitaliy Kim  the head of Mykolayiv Regional Military Administration, informed about the shelling of the city.

He noted that the city was hit by Russian S-300 missiles. An 11-year-old boy was found under the rubble of a five-story building hit by one of the missiles. He is now receiving medical care. The search for seven more people continues.

"In total, the city was hit by 8 S-300 missiles. The search for one more person is underway" - Kim said.

 

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi also wrote about the destroyed high-rise building.

"Each of Russian attacks, all manifestations of Russian terror against our people, our cities will not escape the hands of the occupiers. You will be punished justly. Know this" - he said.

 

The mayor of the city, Oleksandr Sienkovych, previously wrote in telegram about the destruction of the five-story building.

"After midnight, Mykolaiv was massively shelled. A five-story residential building was hit. The two upper floors were completely destroyed, the rest were under rubble. Rescuers are working on the spot."

Earlier, the head of Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, informed about the shelling.

"Air alarm !!! The whole region", - wrote the head of Mykolayiv Regional Military Administration.

"There are explosions in Mykolaiv. An air raid alert has been announced in the city and region."
