Russians mark housing taken from local residents of Kherson region with signs "Property of Russia" — General Staff

Russian occupants in Hornostayivka, Kherson region, seize housing from local residents and declare it their property

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported about this in the morning briefing on June 28.

According to the report, in the settlement of Hornostaivka in the Kherson region, the occupiers are taking away homes from local residents who either left for the controlled territory of Ukraine or died due to the fighting. 

The stolen houses are marked with signs that indicate they belong to the Russian Federation.

During the day, the Russian army carried out 24 airstrikes and 42 MLRS attacks

During the day, the Russian occupiers used 5 Kh-22 air-launched cruise missiles and 2 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles. 

They targeted summer cottages in the Kremenchuk district of the Poltava region and Zaporizhzhia with Kh-22 rockets. In addition, Russian terrorists hit a food establishment filled with civilians in the center of Kramatorsk and the private sector of the village of Bilenke in the Donetsk region using S-300 missiles. 

They also carried out 24 airstrikes and launched 42 MLRS attacks.

Situation in the regions of Ukraine 

Russia’s major battlefield focus is in the East. Fierce fighting continues at the Lyman, Bakhmut, and Marinka sectors heavy battles continue. There were over 30 combat clashes during the day, according to the General Staff.

On the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops launched mortar and artillery attacks, targeting over 20 settlements across Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops shelled over 20 settlements across the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful offensive near Bilohorivka. Over 15 settlements across Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near Orikhovo-Vasylivka. They also shelled over 15 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops launched an air strike on Avdiivka. They shelled over 20 settlements with artillery. 

In the Marinka direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near Marinka and Pobyeda. 

They also launched air strikes near Marinka, Krasnohorivka and shelled over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russians are assaulting the village of Rivnopil, Donetsk region. 

Russian troops launched air strikes on 1 settlement and shelled more than 15 others. 

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian forces’ priority is preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops.

Russian troops also launched air strikes on 2 settlements and shelled around 50 settlements across Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.

Defense forces hit one enemy command post and two Buk anti-aircraft missile systems

Within the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military targeted enemy personnel concentration areas 18 times and enemy anti-aircraft missile systems 6 times. The Defense Forces also destroyed 6 reconnaissance UAVs.

During the same period, missile forces and artillery units struck 1 command post, 2 Buk anti-aircraft missile complexes, and 4 areas where the enemy's forces, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated.
