Russia loses 4 tanks and 640 troops in Ukraine overnight - General Staff

Over the last day, 46 combat engagements took place. The Russian invaders launched 1 missile strike and 17 air strikes, fired 94 times from multiple rocket launchers at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas

This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to November 20, 2023 are estimated to be:

  • artillery systems - 7,748 (+4)

Consequences of Russian attacks

Yesterday, the Russian invaders launched an airstrike against Ukraine using Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. As a result of combat operations, air defense forces and means destroyed 15 out of 20 attack UAVs.

The enemy launched 1 missile strike and 17 air strikes, fired 94 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, the Russian terrorist attacks resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Private homes and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Air strikes were carried out in: Petropavlivka, Kharkiv region; Serebrianske forestry, Luhansk region; and Yampolivka, Donetsk region.

More than 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Situation in the main frontline areas

Over the last day, 46 combat engagements took place.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly.

In the northeastern border area,the Russian military maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian troops conducted assault operations in the vicinity of Sinkivka, east of Petropavlivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 7 attacks.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian invaders did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian forces conducted assault operations in the areas of Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian troops repelled 11 attacks. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are continuing their assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy, and consolidating their positions.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops continue to try to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. The enemy's offensive actions east of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Sievierne and Avdiivka in the Donetsk region were unsuccessful. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 12 attacks.

In the Marinka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Pobieda in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian troops repelled 16 attacks.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russian invaders conducted assault operations near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region, but were unsuccessful.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian troops did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.

In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, carry out counter-battery combat, and inflict fire on the enemy's rear.

Ukrainian Armed Forces continue offensive operation

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the enemy along the entire front line.

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 2 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel.

Missile units hit 2 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as 3 enemy ammunition depots.

 
  • Over the previous day, 67 combat engagements took place in the frontline. Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated 620 occupants
