According to the HUR, one of the intercepted individuals expressed frustration:
"They don’t say anything about it. And our [governor] doesn’t write anything. We only hear what people say. [Governor] Bogomaz says everything is fine, everything is calm… But in Suzemka, Belaya Berezka – it’s constant. Every day. Just like our Lomakovka. No one even pays attention anymore. They’re hitting there daily."
She also commented on the possibility of nuclear war:
"This will probably go on for a long time. And then, I just hope it doesn’t end in nuclear war. Oh, Nina… [...] America doesn’t care. They think they will strike first, we will die, and they will rule. And that’s it."
- On January 21, Russian authorities claimed a drone attack targeted the Smolensk region. Additionally, the governors of Bryansk, Rostov, and Voronezh regions also reported drone attacks.
