Russians actively call the hotline to prepare for surrender - journalist Zolkin
Journalist Volodymyr Zolkin says that many Russian soldiers call the I Want to Live hotline to arrange their surrender in advance
He said this on Espreso TV.
“In the 20s of February, the Russian military called Ukraine and reserved tables at Kyiv’s restaurants. They were very proud of this and reposted it on social networks. Now they are actively calling the I Want to Live hotline and booking a place to surrender. These are those who have not yet been mobilized, but there are also those who have already arrived in Ukraine and understood what is happening here,” Zolkin said.
The journalist added that many Russians who surrender themselves as prisoners of war want to return home.
“Among the Russians who surrender, there are those who do not want to return to Russia. We conduct interviews with such people. However, most of those who surrender hope to return to Russia and ask not to disclose their desire to surrender themselves,” he added.
