"Russian world" ideology to fade away after Ukrainian army’s return to occupied territories – security expert
When the Ukrainian Armed Forces return the territories occupied in 2014, the ideology of the "Russian world" will fade away, propagandists and leaders will be destroyed or will make a "gesture of goodwill"
This is the opinion of Oleksandr Khara, an expert on foreign and security policy at the Center for Defense Strategies.
"When the Ukrainian Armed Forces return the occupied territories, the zombies will remain. But when it becomes clear that there is a powerful government, the opportunity to live with social security and so on, then the whole ideology of the "Russian world" will be eradicated, and its propagandists and leaders will be destroyed or will flee," said Oleksandr Khara on the Espreso TV channel.
According to him, the situation in Donetsk, Luhansk and Crimea is somewhat different than in the occupied territories of southern Ukraine.
"In Donetsk, Luhansk and Crimea, there is already a whole brainwashed generation that hates us and does not understand what is really happening. But with the current occupied territories of southern Ukraine, the situation is different. I hope that most of those who could have left the territory have done so and the threat of conscription will not affect them," said the expert on foreign and security policy.
On the other hand, Donetsk and Luhansk regions have been devastated, says Khara.
"Production facilities were destroyed. Our fellow citizens in the occupied territories were used as cannon fodder. Killing the occupiers will actually be part of the solution to that problem. It is a pity that this is happening, but they do not spare the locals, nor their military," the expert emphasized.
