He wrote about this on the social media platform X.

"On July 29, 2022, Russia deliberately killed more than 50 Ukrainian PoWs and injured over 150 others in a planned act of terror. These were defenders of Ukraine who had laid down their arms and were supposed to be protected by international humanitarian law," the diplomat said.

"We call on the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for all those responsible—from the direct perpetrators to those in the Russian command who ordered and covered up this crime," Sybiha added.

He also emphasized the need to support a Special Tribunal to investigate the crime of aggression against Ukraine. The international community must ensure full accountability for the countless crimes committed by Russia.

  • In Ukraine, July 28 has been established as a Day of Remembrance for defenders, members of volunteer formations, and civilians who were executed, tortured, or died in captivity.
