Russian forces using chemical weapons for weeks in Siversk sector
Invading Russian army has been using chemical weapons against Ukrainian defenders in the Siversk direction for three weeks now
The Rubizh Operational Brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard reported the information.
According to the military, these weapons are causing significant harm to Ukrainian defenders.
“These munitions are characterized by the extremely rapid spread of poisonous substances, which instantly disperse through dugouts and low-lying areas,” the brigade reported.
The military notes that, overall, the enemy has become more active in the Siverskyi direction. The occupiers are using motorcycle units and civilian vehicles in their assaults.
“Thanks to a well-coordinated system of detection and firepower, our defenders are working so cohesively that the occupiers’ assault groups are eliminated several kilometers before reaching our positions,” the brigade emphasized.
Russia has increased the number of artillery shellings to about two hundred per day. According to the military, this “may indicate that the enemy is planning large-scale assault operations,” adding that Ukrainian defenders are already preparing a worthy response to the invaders.
At the beginning of March, it was reported that since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has used munitions containing dangerous chemical substances more than 6,900 times.
