Colonel Valerii Veber, Deputy Chief of Ukraine's Main Directorate of Mine Action, Civil Protection, and Environmental Safety, reported the information, according to the Ministry of Defense.
"During the full-scale war, medical assistance has been provided to nearly 3,400 Ukrainian servicemen with signs of poisoning by an unknown chemical substance," Veber said.
This was discussed at a seminar in the Slovak city of Žilina. The event aimed to strengthen capabilities in prosecuting chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear crimes.
- The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has documented war crimes and, in absentia, charged a Russian brigade commander for his role in the mass use of banned chemical weapons against Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
