
Russian forces drop over 5,000 guided bombs in April: quarter target Kursk region
In April, Russian aviation dropped more than 5,000 guided aerial bombs on the positions of Defense Forces of Ukraine and frontline settlements
The press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported the information.
The defense ministry emphasized that in April, the number of Russian airstrikes on Defense Forces positions and Ukrainian settlements using guided aerial bombs increased.
“In April, Russian aviation dropped more than 5,000 guided aerial bombs (KABs) on the positions of Defense Forces units and frontline settlements. A quarter of them—over 1,200—were used against our troops’ positions in the Kursk region,” the statement said.
The Ministry of Defense noted that throughout 2024, the Russian occupation army has used about 40,000 guided aerial bombs, and since the beginning of 2025, enemy aircraft have dropped more than 15,000 KABs.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Russian authorities are responding to proposals from Ukraine and the United States for an unconditional ceasefire with renewed shelling, assaults, and attacks.
