Russian shelling of Ukraine’s Nikopol results in one death, child among the injured
On September 18, the occupying Russian army attacked the Nikopol district in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region. A man was killed in the shelling, and a 9-year-old boy is among the wounded
Serhii Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported that a 42-year-old man who was injured in today’s attack on Nikopol has died in the hospital.
The Russian army also shelled Marhanets with artillery today, Lysak said. A 9-year-old boy was injured in the attack and is in moderate condition in the hospital. Two women were also wounded but did not require hospitalization, their condition is reported as satisfactory.
The attack caused damage to shops and five-story buildings, and two cars caught fire, which rescuers quickly extinguished.
Earlier, Lysak had reported that a 42-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were injured in a kamikaze drone strike on Nikopol.
