Air defense active in Kyiv region
At 12:49 a.m., the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that a UAV was detected in the airspace of the region. Air defense forces were operating on targets.
At 2:55 a.m., an air raid alert was issued in Kyiv. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the approach of a Shahed drone toward the city and warned of possible air defense operations in response.
At 3:02, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration again informed about air defense operations in the region. Explosions were also heard in the capital, Espreso correspondents report.
Energy sector targeted again in Sumy
Russia has launched a drone strike on energy facilities in Sumy.
“Preliminary, people were not injured. The consequences of the enemy attack are being eliminated. We are grateful to our power engineers for their prompt and well-coordinated work,” the Regional Military Administration said in a statement.
The administration reminded that the power system of the region is operating in a tense mode. Consumers are asked to reduce electricity consumption, especially during peak hours.
According to the military administration, 16 Shaheds were destroyed in the region.
Explosions in Ukrainian cities
According to Suspilne TV, explosions were reported in the suburbs of Dnipro at 12:52 a.m.
Later, explosions were also heard in Kropyvnytskyi.
At 3:36 a.m., Suspilne correspondents in Sumy reported explosions, with more explosions occurring at 5:08 a.m.
Then, at 8:46 a.m., additional explosions were heard again in Kropyvnytskyi.
