Attack on Kharkiv

At 11:11 p.m., Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that explosions were heard in the city’s Kyivskyi district, according to preliminary information. The head of the Kharkiv  Regional Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, also said that explosions were heard in several districts.

At 11:25 p.m., Syniehubov reported another explosion in Kharkiv.

Later, Terekhov stated that as of 11:33 p.m., three explosions had been recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi district. At the same time, according to Syniehubov, the Russians struck with drones in the Kyivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts.

At 11:37 p.m., Syniehubov reported yet another explosion.

"One of the strikes occurred near multi-story residential buildings; the consequences are being clarified. No information about casualties has been reported so far," Terekhov wrote at 11:38 p.m.

Shortly after, he reported a fire at the site of one of the strikes in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

At midnight, the mayor stated that the roof of an unoccupied new building was on fire due to the attack. There was also a hit in the courtyard of a residential building, which shattered windows and damaged nearby cars.

Later, Syniehubov wrote that, according to preliminary information, five strikes had been recorded. No reports of casualties had been received.

As of 12:24 a.m., the Russians had carried out 8 drone strikes on the Shevchenkivskyi district. State Emergency Service units are working at the scene.

According to preliminary information, three people were injured in the attack, including two girls aged 12 and 17.

Later in the morning, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service clarified that the Shevchenkivskyi and Osnovianskyi districts of the city, as well as the Kharkiv district of the region, came under Russian fire. According to initial data, four civilians sought medical help, including two underage girls aged 12 and 17.

“As a result of the strikes, fires broke out at four locations. The roof of a six-story unfinished building caught fire over an area of 1,000 square meters, structural elements of a utility building burned over 10 square meters, and three hangars at a civilian enterprise were ablaze over a total area of 1,500 square meters. In addition, apartment buildings and cars were damaged,” rescuers added.

Strike on Sumy region

The head of the Sumy Regional Administration reported that at 11:40 p.m., a fire broke out in a residential area of the Sumy community after one of the strikes.

As of 12:20 a.m., he stated that the Russians had attacked the Kovpakivskyi district, causing a fire in one of the buildings in the residential sector. The fire was extinguished.

“Fortunately, no people were injured,” he added.

Aftermath in Odesa

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, Russia used at least 10 drones in the attack. One person was killed, and 14 others suffered injuries of varying severity.

"Under the procedural guidance of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of war crimes (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the statement reads.

At 2:20 a.m., Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov reported that several high-rise buildings in the city center, cars, and university buildings were damaged in Russia’s attack.

A fire broke out on the coast due to the fall of an attack drone, and the blast wave damaged recreational facilities. In another part of the city, a gas pipeline was damaged, and emergency services are working at the site.

At 3:20 a.m., it became known that a massive fire broke out after an attack drone strike, completely destroying a four-story residential building.

“Floors and walls have collapsed; people may be trapped under the rubble. Emergency services are working,” Trukhanov reported.

Later, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported that 10 strikes were recorded in Odesa, causing large-scale fires.

“A four-story residential building is completely engulfed in flames. Rescuers saved three people and evacuated six more. During firefighting and rescue efforts, structures collapsed on the rescuers — three firefighters were injured and are currently in stable condition in the hospital,” the emergency service said.

A 23-story residential building was also damaged, with fire affecting the 18th, 19th, and 20th floors. Six hundred people were evacuated. Three people, including two children, were rescued from a blocked apartment.

Fires also spread to five other residential buildings and three cars.

“At the site of the partially destroyed building, the State Emergency Service set up a Resilience Point. According to residents, one more person may still be inside the building — search and rescue operations are ongoing. In total, 13 people were injured, including three rescuers. The emergency service, together with volunteers, continue working at the scene,” the rescuers added.

Railway station infrastructure damaged

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the railway station infrastructure in Odesa was damaged during the nighttime attack.

“The contact network and the track bed were affected. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Ukrzaliznytsia specialists are already working to eliminate the consequences. Train traffic is operating on schedule,” the company stated.
