Russian strike on Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia leaves ten killed, children injured
On December 6, Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia, killing 10 people and injuring 25, including two children
This was announced by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
As of the morning of December 7, according to police, the number of people injured in the strike increased to 25. Among the victims are three children: a four-month-old baby, a 4-year-old, and an 11-year-old.
One aerial bomb hit a residential area of the city, killing 10 people.
"Zaporizhzhia. 10 people were killed and 20 injured. The fire of the service station building and 6 cars has been extinguished," the State Emergency Service reported at 21:47.
At 21:00, the number of wounded in Zaporizhzhia increased to 20, and a four-month-old girl was among the injured.
As of 20:25, the number of wounded from the Russian attack has increased to 19, including a 23-year-old man in serious condition, Fedorov said.
According to him, a service station is on fire as a result of the attack. Some communities have problems with electricity.
“On the evening of St. Nicholas Day, air strikes hit Zaporizhzhia - just service stations, cars with people. As of now, we know about four wounded, all of them are being helped. The list of the dead includes nine people,” Zelensky wrote.
Fedorov added that emergency teams were responding to the scene. Medical facilities in the city are prepared to treat the wounded.
