Russia strikes Ukraine's Kryvyi Rih with Iskander missiles, injuring 13
The Russian army attacked Kryvyi Rih on the evening of January 8: the enemy struck apartment buildings with two Iskander ballistic missiles, injuring 13 people
Oleksandr Vilkul, the head of the city's Defense Council, reported the information.
According to the latest information, 13 people were injured as a result of Russian strikes in Kryvyi Rih. Nine victims are in hospitals, including boys aged 7 and 16. Nearly a dozen and a half apartment buildings and cars were damaged.
"One man is in critical condition, in the operating room, with his leg blown off by an explosion," wrote Vilkul.
An aid center has been set up in the city. The Defense Council head reported assistance with building materials, relocation, and applications for financial aid from the city. At the same time, he warned that many Shahed drones are still flying toward Kryvyi Rih.
Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head Vladyslav Haivanenko reported 5 casualties from the Russian strikes, including a child. A 57-year-old man is in serious condition. In Kryvyi Rih, windows and balconies in several high-rise buildings were shattered, and infrastructure was damaged.
At 5:00 p.m., he warned of a Russian ballistic missile attack on Kryvyi Rih.
"Those damned animals struck apartment buildings with two Iskander ballistic missiles. Assistance is being provided to the victims," he wrote at 5:45 p.m.
Meanwhile, Russia attacked the Kamianske district and Vasylkivska territorial community with drones, while also targeting the Nikopol area throughout the day. The enemy used FPV drones and artillery for the attacks.
"A five-story building, 3 private houses, an outbuilding, a car, and a power line were damaged. Infrastructure was also affected," Haivanenko noted.
