“Obviously, those who are responsible for Bucha and many other crimes must be brought to justice,” Rutte said at a press conference at NATO headquarters.
The Secretary General also emphasized that the current focus should be on “ending this war in such a way that Putin never again tries to seize even a single square mile or kilometer of Ukraine or any part of larger countries, and that the ceasefire and the special peace agreement in Ukraine are lasting and strong.”
“This must be our main focus at the moment,” he stated.
- The invading Russian army committed over 9,000 war crimes in the Bucha district of Kyiv region, including the killing of 1,800 civilians.
