Russia launches missile strike on Ukraine’s Dnipro, killing and injuring people
On April 10, Russia launched a missile strike on Dnipro: a fire broke out in the city, a 42-year-old man was killed, and nine people were injured
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported the information.
“A large-scale fire broke out at the site of the strike. There is damage to a civilian facility. Preliminary reports indicate three people were injured. We are clarifying all the details,” he wrote.
At 4:49 p.m., he wrote that as a result of the Russian strike, a 42-year-old man had died.
At 5:45 p.m., Lysak stated that a 55-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man were hospitalized in moderate condition.
Later, the number of injured rose to five, and they were hospitalized. The 55-year-old woman is in serious condition, while the others are in moderate condition. Rescuers continue to extinguish the fire.
At 7:38 p.m., the State Emergency Service reported that the number of injured had increased to six. More than 120 rescuers are working at the site of the fire, and 32 units of equipment have been deployed.
As of 9:08 p.m., Lysak reported eight people injured due to Russian strikes: three are receiving outpatient treatment, while the rest have been hospitalized.
In the morning of April 11, the head of the Regional Military Administration clarified that a total of nine people were injured as a result of the missile strike. It was only in the morning that rescuers managed to extinguish the large fire caused by the impact.
Andriy Zdesenko, director of Biosphere Corporation, said that the Russian troops had directly struck the company’s warehouses in Dnipro, which produce household and personal hygiene products.
“Russia claims they attacked a ‘military facility’ producing strategic products. Well, yes — diapers, wet wipes, tea, foil, and parchment for Easter — famous military goods. I understand that’s a ‘terrible threat to Russia,’ but unfortunately, it cost the life of one of our employees… Rescuers, firefighters, and medics are currently working at the scene. Sadly, there are injured, and it is known that one of our employees has died,” he wrote.
- On the evening of April 8, the Russian army launched drones over Ukrainian territory. In Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Kramatorsk, people were injured as a result of the enemy attacks — among them, a child.
