"The occupiers struck the central part of Chuhuiv. According to preliminary data, we have received information about a woman who was injured," the statement said.
It is noted that the attack damaged a kindergarten. The area is currently being inspected.
Syniehubov later confirmed that the victim was a 21-year-old woman.
Later, Deputy Mayor Ihor Kashchavtsev told Suspilne Kharkiv that the number of victims had increased to two.
"Multi-storey buildings were damaged as a result of the strike. The blast wave blew out windows, doors and window frames flew out. We are still counting the number of damaged buildings," he said.
As of 9:35 a.m., 5 people were injured in the Russian attack, including a 28-year-old man and women aged 22, 55, 65, and 77.
Later, Syniehubov said that the number of victims had increased to 7, with a 41-year-old and a 42-year-old woman seeking help.
According to the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, 8 people suffered acute stress reactions and injuries due to the Russian attack, including two men aged 28 and 67 and six women.
Also, a kindergarten was completely destroyed in the town, and nearby residential buildings, shops, offices, cars, administrative buildings, etc. were damaged.
According to preliminary data, the Russian troops hit the town with two S-400 missiles from the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.
